The group primarily performs big band literature, past and contemporary, and will showcase new works from modern composers.

New River Valley Symphony

New River Valley Symphony is a community and university based orchestra that invites participation from students, faculty, and members of the community (New River Valley). It is unclear if the group is still active at Virginia Tech as the last publication referring to the group was from 2017 on the school’s new site (Caldwell 2017).
